The Turkaegean 2, Turkish Riviera, Cappadocia, and Black Sea commercials, along with İstanbul is the New Cool 3, were broadcast on TV in over 200 countries in July. In digital media, five spots were broadcast across more than 200 countries, collecting 670 million views.
The TGA hosted writers and influencers interested in culture and fashion in Türkiye under the theme “Iconic İstanbul and Cappadocia”. Guests from Ireland, France, Spain and Serbia attended the hosting event from 3-7 July, touring numerous historical and touristic sites in İstanbul, including the Historical Peninsula, the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar. Guests who visited Nişantaşı, the fashion capital of Türkiye, had the opportunity to meet privately with renowned Turkish designers. In Cappadocia, in addition to visiting the Göreme Open Air Museum, Paşabağ and Zelve Valley, which showcase the region’s natural beauty, the group also attended a pottery workshop in Avanos. Influencers shared their experiences in Türkiye on their social media accounts with photos and videos documenting their travels.
The new episode of Happy Traveler, one of the most popular travel programmes in Greece, was filmed in Türkiye. The crew shot in Nevşehir and Kayseri between 5-9 July, focusing on the region’s religious routes in addition to natural, historical and touristic sites in both cities.

German journalists dive in Çanakkale’s waters
Between July 17-21, the TGA hosted journalists from Germany’s leading publications in Çanakkale as part of a diving-focused programme. While in Türkiye, the group conducted exploratory dives in the Gallipoli Historical Underwater Park and visited Çanakkale’s significant historical and touristic sites. Journalists visited the ancient city of Troy, the award-winning Troy Museum, the Trojan Horse, Çimenlik Castle and the Maritime Museum, and the Çanakkale Clock Tower as part of the programme.
Prominent United Arab Emirates influencers discover Türkiye’s northern region
As part of the Black Sea Trekking Event, the TGA hosted prominent social media influencers from the United Arab Emirates in Türkiye. During the event, taking place between 17-22 July, the group visited numerous natural, historical, cultural and touristic sites in Trabzon, Rize and Artvin. The visitors enjoyed a variety of Black Sea Region-specific local experiences, sharing these activities in northern Türkiye on their social media accounts via stories, photos and videos.
Türkiye provides distinctive travel experiences for American journalists
The TGA invited American journalists from various publications to visit Türkiye. Hosted in Antalya, Nevşehir and İstanbul between 18-24 July, the guests enjoyed unique travel experiences. In Antalya, their first stop in Türkiye, the journalists explored the Mediterranean waters by boat, both sailing and diving. They also climbed Mount Tahtalı, 2,366 meters above sea level, and visited important historical sites in the Ancient City of Phaselis and Antalya’s Kaleiçi. On the second stop on the hospitality tour, the group explored Cappadocia’s distinctive fairy chimneys and participated in horseback riding and a pottery workshop, among other activities. Their final stop before returning to the United States was İstanbul, where the group shared various İstanbul-specific activities
Saudi journalists welcomed to İstanbul in all its splendour
Invited to Türkiye by the TGA, a group of journalists from Saudi Arabia experienced İstanbul to the fullest during the hospitality programme held from 17-20 July. Designed to showcase the wide range of city experiences İstanbul has to offer, particularly in the fields of history, culture-art and gastronomy, the group’s programme included visits to many of the city’s tourist attractions, including important cultural and artistic centres, as well as sampling exemplary dishes in Turkish cuisine
An Aegean experience in İzmir replete with history, culture and art for British and Russian press members
As part of the 6th International Efes Opera and Ballet Festival organised by the İzmir State Opera, the TGA hosted English and Russian journalists in İzmir. The group visited Konak Square and the Clock Tower, Kemeraltı Bazaar and the İzmir Culture and Art Factory during the hospitality programme. In addition to attending Ephesus Opera and Ballet Festival performances, the journalists visited the Ancient City of Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary and Şirince.
In Kuşadası, Eastern European influencers enjoy Festival enthusiasm
As part of the Kuşadası Street Festival, held for the second time this year in Aydın, influencers from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina visited Türkiye between 24-29 July as guests of the TGA. The group was treated to an Aegean experience rich in culture, art, nature and cuisine. Guests sampled the delectable Aegean cuisine and participated in a variety of Festival-related activities while touring the region’s historical and touristic sites.

As part of the programme, held between 24-29 July, the group visited the Selçuk Ephesus Museum, Artemis Temple and Şirince Village. In addition to enjoying the sea, sand and sun at various Alaçatı beaches, the visitors took kitesurfing lessons in Urla and participated in other activities. Journalists from abroad tour the Faith and Culture Route
The TGA invited foreign journalists on a route designed to highlight Anatolia’s cultural and religious heritage. Between 10-14 July, Rota participants from Serbia and Saudi Arabia visited numerous historical and cultural sites in İstanbul, Bursa, Eskişehir and Konya. Important sites such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in İstanbul; the Ulu Mosque, Yeşil Mosque and Kozahan in Bursa; Odunpazar and Sivrihisar Ulu Mosque in Eskişehir; and the Mevlana Museum, Aleaadin Mosque and Ince Minaret Madrasa in Konya were visited by journalists on hospitality trips.

Foreign journalists enchanted by the lavender gardens of Isparta and Burdur
The Lavender Route hosted a large group of press members from Azerbaijan, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Romania and Hungary. During the programme, journalists visited the historical and touristic sites of Burdur and Isparta, as well as the scenic lavender gardens that gave the route its name. Sagalassos Ancient City, İnsuyu Cave, the Burdur Museum, the Burdur Natural History Museum, Ulu Mosque and Salda Lake were also included in the programme. As well, press members visiting Mount Söğüt, Aystefanos Church, Eğirdir Castle, Dündar Bey Madrasa, and Lake Eğirdir in Isparta captured their natural experiences in Lavanta Village’s lavender and rose gardens.

European journalists follow the Hittite civilization to Ankara and Çorum
The TGA invited European journalists to a route focused on the Hittites, one of Anatolia’s most significant civilizations. From 25-28 July, press representatives from Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and France attended the Hittite Route event. Within the scope of the programme, the group visited numerous regions in Ankara and Çorum that bear traces of Hittite culture. In Çorum, the guests toured the Boğazköy Museum, the Hattusaş Monuments, the Yazılıkaya Open Air Temple, the Alacahöyük Museum, the Alacahöyük Ruins and the Alacahöyük Gölpınar Hittite Dam after viewing the Hittite exhibition at the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara.

Western Black Sea hosts guests with a plethora of local flavour
Journalists from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Lebanon were invited to Türkiye by the TGA as part of the Western Black Sea Gastro Route. Hosted between 25-29 July in Kastamonu, Karabük (Safranbolu), Bartın (Amasra) and Bolu, the group was introduced to the Western Black Sea Region’s geographically indicated products and regional cuisine. In addition, the journalists visited many of the historical, natural and touristic sites in these provinces.

In addition to visiting many of Antalya’s most significant historical and touristic sites, the group enjoyed a gastronomic journey through Mediterranean cuisine. Destination wedding industry professionals from around the globe gather in India
The Wow Awards, a key award ceremony for the destination wedding industry, was held between 13-14 July in Mumbai, the largest city in India. At this year’s event, which was attended by approximately 1,500 people, top organisers and planners in the international destination wedding industry discussed the latest industry trends and innovations. During one-on-one meetings and networking sessions held throughout the event, participants were provided with in-depth information regarding Türkiye’s advantages and potential in this field.

Innovations in the wedding and event industry were discussed at the “Engage! Summit”
The “Engage! Summit” brought together professionals and industry leaders from around the world to discuss innovative ideas and solutions. Hosted in Paris, the capital of France, for the first time, the event took place between 24-27 July. Negotiations are ongoing for Türkiye to host the 2025 meeting of the annual organisation, which brings together more than 300 wedding and event industry leaders each year.
Provinces and Destination Promotion Activities
438 provincial board and business follow-up meetings held to date across the provinces.
Within the scope of the Provincial Promotion and Development Program, which aims to promote the provinces and sub-destinations more effectively in the national and international arena, Afyonkarahisar, Aksaray and İstanbul held their third board meetings, while Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Kütahya, Gaziantep and Adıyaman held fourth board meetings. Bartın, Bitlis, Karaman, Samsun, Kırşehir, Manisa and Şanlıurfa held their fifth board meetings and Ankara and Kars held their seventh. Antalya, İzmir and Edirne held their ninth board meetings while Sakarya held its tenth and Nevşehir held its eleventh board meeting. Within the scope of the Provincial Promotion and Development Program, with eight meetings held in July, a total of 438 meetings have been held this year to date.
